As I am thinking of what really is the perfect outfit to wear for dinner after work on a Friday night, so I begin to imagine a pair of skinny jeans like these from one of my favorite online boutiques, Shop Bop . So I’m thinking after I discover denim worthy of a diva! (Don’t forget to select chic, sleek jeans that fit you like a second skin). Okay, okay so what am I going to wear on top – definitely not going naked! I decide to pair with a fabulous tunic top Nordstrom’s and; I’m thinking any style would do Monica as long as its chic! Then what about my footsies? I rummage through my closet and decide to top off this outfit with cute booties ; I know that I am ready while still remaining chic and comfortable. And don’t forget to add your favorite vintage clutch bag; you can even find one online from Goodwill ; yes that’s right! Fashionistas don’t forget that finding key pieces for a chic look, please look at thrift stores – as you’ll never know what you will find!
I’m ready for dinner and a movie date night with my hubby!

Our fall Fashionista Flea Market was amazing! We started the day a feeling the crisp Fall weather, but the conversations, the laughts, the spirit and the fun warmed things up! We welcomed back a few fashionistas, like our “on-point” beauty sistah Pauline of the Wellness Touch), Makia Chic e-Boutique and Shanel, our travel diva Living la Diva Loca and added a few new fashionistas – Kay, Ife, Omi and Dionne. While you’re at it also check out these handmade amazing handbags made by The Bag Lady . And of course our “hostess with the mostess” Kwamme welcomed us! What a great time we all had!
Ok ok, so you want to know what the flea markets are all about? The fashionistas come together with “gently used” finds from our closets and new items for our boutiques, and sell items at affordable and fashionable prices. Let me tell you; you need to be at the next one! The Fashionista Flea Markets are typically held once a month; March through September and its a way for us to get rid of some things from our closets – of course to make room for more! But seriously, its a way to sell and bring some happiness to someone else’s closet. Our flea market was full of vendors from Tania (Genesis, mobile nail spa) to Melfi Fly Betty Boutique , and Mary of Silpada jewelry fame! We were so happy to see Angie, our fierce makeup artist Natural Enhancements . Oh yeah don’t forget to check out me too … Urban Charm . Check out all of these amazing fashionistas online and at our next Fashionista Flea Market! Please stay tuned!

So me and a few of the original fashionistas decided to spend a relaxing, chic and fun evening after a long day at work at Shecky’s – Girls Night Outon Wednesday night in the nation’s capital!. We all arrived via metro, police car haha! (Angie) or SUV! We hung out in front of Constitution Hall for a few minutes, while we got our badges and checked in — ready for some fun! It was so much stuff; from chic clothing and accessories boutiques like even a foot jewelry boutique to raspberry mojito from TGIF’s kiosk; and even the cheese appetizers from Cabot were good – considering we were hungry and that’s the only food that was available! Maybe the Shecky’s planning committee could get some food vendor for next year! Melfi picked up a few cute pieces, bracelets and ring, while Angie scored a fierce animal print handbag! Me on the other hand came out empty handed, except for the packed Goodie Bag – great job on the Goodie Bags; it was fun going through the bag that night, like a kid opening birthday presents. Anyway all-in-all we had a fabulous time!

How does a Diva stay organized? Some hire personal assistants, but the rest of us have to make a series of to-do lists. With Autumn approaching so fast, our Jimmy Choo’s can barely keep up, so we decided it was time to write down the TOP FIVE things we want to get into this fall….
1. Va-va-Voting – It’s time to choose the next president and a Diva always does her civic duty! If you’re not registered to vote yet, CLICK HERE to register by state.
Check back tomorrow for #2!
